B36-7's |
Description: |
According to the Diesel Locomotive Roster for the time, the trio of B36-7's represents half of the six the Southern owned. I was told by a diesel shop mechanic the reason GE's were scarce in the New Orleans area is because they did not have the special greases used on the GE's. Southern's GE's were rare in New Orleans. |

SBD 5902 |
Description: |
Little tiny letters "CSXT" indicated this is a CSX era train. This stack train is headed west on the SP through bayou country. Unfortunately all these neat wooden trestles are now gone. |
